We need a Strong and Experienced person to be our next Mayor, who Respects the Taxpayer!

He is the Co-founder of Canadians Against Substance Abuse, so he is credible and
understands the Public Safety Issues in Toronto-Centre Ward 28 and more importantly, how
to fix them with the other Levels of Government by expanding a newer version of TAVIS that involves the OPP and the RCMP, Public Health officials, etc.!

Mr. Rama is frugal and very capable having worked with the Province as a small business supplier to Ontario Tourism from 1988-2005. He has worked with many other clients, as an Award winning Entrepreneur. He has been involved with the Taxpayers Alliance since 2001 & also supports tax fairness as well as Good Government!

He supports in this Election creating Jobs, fixing TCHC, the TTC & Garbage Collection as well as:
1) abolishing the vehicle registration tax; 2) abolishing the land transfer tax; 3) reducing the expense budget for both the offices of councillors and the mayor from $53,000 to $30,000; 4) ending sole-source bidding; and 5) reducing the size of council from 44 to 22.

Bad News: We really have a spending problem and not a revenue problem at Toronto City Hall. The solution is to vote for Raj Rama to stop the waste and mismanagement at Toronto City Hall.

Good News: My Economic Vision/ Strategy includes inviting the Private Sector/ Pension Funds to help solve our Public Housing Crisis by building an additional 600,000 Condos in Toronto in the next 5-10 years, with 10-20 percent being given back to the City for Public Housing Use either in ‘Cash or in Kind’, i.e. under section 37 http://www.toronto.ca/planning/section37.htm

‘Section 37 of the Planning Act permits the City to authorize increases in permitted height and/or density through the zoning bylaw in return for community benefits, provided that there are related Official Plan policies in place’

In his discussions with the media, he confirmed this will create significant/ multi-billion dollar Investment, over 150,000 new jobs, clear up the Social Housing waiting list/ huge backlog of 60k (3 Bedroom units) and allow us to fix the Problems at Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) and so much more! How can we work together on this Vision?

• As an Award Winning Entrepreneur He will Create Jobs with the Private Sector, not just in the Public Sector! With the Pan-Am Games here in 2015 he will work for taxpayers best interests!

• As a small business owner/ supplier to the Government, he has over 15 years of Real Government Expertise, gained at the Ontario Government Tourism Marketing Branch (1988-2005), he knows how to get things done in Government both cost effectively and on time! For example, I hope to work with the New Mayor on turning around Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), as it is a valuable City asset and a public-housing landlord. We need to offer more and get back more, so people can reach their full potential.
